Hi to all,
it will be highly appreciated if somebody can throw somelight on these preferential shares ? i was holding ISPAT IND two years back, one fine day 40% of the shares are converted into pref shares... im holding on to it since then..what is the locking priod, if any? what will be the selling price if i sell it today? thanks happy and profitable trading

radhika, u are fantastic. As a novice its little difficult to finding where to start. So this thread will go a long way educating people.
Thanks a lot and keep things coming in. Though i havent read any thing from here yet, (just got memebership) i am sure it add value to my persona, and fast too....without much searching on net. Its really a great thing that u have taken such initialtive to share basics.... Only one suggestion, rather than making new post for every subject/ chapter, just edit ur first post, and add all links in there. So that one wont require to browse through all the pages having 'thanks' posts... Best of luck.

I appriciat your desire to teach others about stocks and to share your knowlage. i hade read your every post, to be honest you empresed a lot , more then that, i lerned a lot and i hope you will keep empressing, i meen sharing your knowlage with us . About topic i have few thing s to ask hope you dont mind. 1] who has writ of divident? Shares are get traded on every secend then there must be asystem to some thing law to distribut profit i.e. divident ? 2] how exactly wee get payed divident ? will you please explain the whole cycle of divident how exactly it is ditributed to the normal public ? thanks A lot for your pateins and please excuse my broken english
