volume ?
what does the word "volume" mean ?
in www.sharekhan.com quotes, its always mentioned, does it mean the no. of shares people have bought as of this day ?

Volume in Stock Market lingo means the number of shares that changed hands during trade.
Volumes can be classified as hourly, daily, weekly, etc. But in most technical analysis, daily volumes are used.
