Should i worry about the markets being rigged ?

#1
After reading some articles on how indian markets are rigged, I got really worried as I'm planning on getting into trading as a full time profession.

Since i am a new entrant, is my worry justified.

I am hoping the experienced of you will throw some light on this regards. Also is there is a way around to spot these situations ?

Hi,

Nothing is Rigged,Market provided equal opportunities to everyone ,provided you trade in scripts with Good Volume.

So dont worry on this concern.

However ,if you are really concerned ,think of PRos and cons on other aspects including trading Method ,Trading Psychology and Money Management.

And most important How passionate you are about taking it as your Full Time trader

Best of Luck

As you wrote "Since i am a new entrant", my short and one word answer was meant to keep you worry. Why?

You surely heard about "Fear and Greed". To become a good trader in what ever market, you need to find a balance for your self in which you know the reasons when you have "Fear" in any trade and when you get "Greedy" in any trade.

As you are in a stage of "Fear and even a new entrant", which you told by your self, you protect your self by being careful by what you do or plan to do. This is very good :thumb: and do not try to push away this feelings.

On the other hand: If you never can manage your "Fear", you never will enter any trade as well as you never will enter the field to become a part time or even a full time trader.

Now what is the way to manage this "Fear" to get over it by even accepting it as it is? If you can answer this part of the post, you are where your next steps begin.

If you want to comment so far on this post or on the other posts from the other members, kindly do and after we can continue on the topic.

Take care / Dan :)

you say markets are rigged.

Can you tell me exactly by whom it is rigged and is there any sufficient & clear evidence that markets are rigged?

and assuming that markets are rigged by some unknown entity. Why is sebi sitting quietly then for so many years?

Hey you guys,Thanks a ton, I feel these are some very sane answers and I'm feeling a bit better.

I'm mostly coming across lots of information and topics I need to catch up on.Incidentally the scary side of the market too, which is good I guess.Like losing money on commissions and taxes and ending up in the red even though you have won the bet.

So I gathered that all the technical knowledge HAS to be, if not more, equally supported by psychology and money management ,discipline and self improvement, all of which is not easy at all.

As of now I need to be really BRAVE.

Best wishes to you too.
