Dear Friends,

Here's a simpler and hopefully more useful and streamlined way to post/share charts at Traderji.com.

1) Go to http://www.rupeeking.com/charts

2) Make a Chart (any stock on BSE or NSE) using indicators, styles etc.

3) Click on 'Annotate & Share' at the top of the chart.

4) Add notes to the chart, draw trendlines, add emoticons (as I write this message, the sensex is down 500 points so I would definitely add the weeping smilie :)).

5) Click on 'Save' button.

6) You will get 3 different links. Use #2 for Traderji.com. When you click on it, it will automatically be copied to the clipboard.

7) On Traderji.com, go to your post message and click on the "Insert Image" button.

8) Paste (either Edit->Paste or Ctrl-V) the copied link.

That's it.

No need to fire up your Metastock or Amibroker or your favourite software to make the chart, then saving it and uploading it somewhere. You can do everthing at one place online and add annotations too. Charts will be saved forever so don't worry about dead URLs.

I have been a silent member for some time now and really appreciate the knowledge of this community. On this and other forums, I have desperately felt a need for a simpler way to share charts with other boarders. A picture is worth a thousand words and it is so hard to explain a technical point in words.

So I had been working on the annotation feature for some time now and what a timing! Traderji just enabled this nifty image sharing functionality here.

This is not an advertisement for my site..even though it has all the elements of one :). I have spent lots of time developing this feature and then customizing it for Traderji.com since Traderji's announcement. So I sincerely hope that rupeeKing will be useful to this community. Note that this feature would be useful for Traderji blogs too.

If there are any suggestions or comments (positive or negative), I will appreciate your feedback.

Happy Investing!

Vaishal

PS - This is a sample chart I am posting using the instructions above.

Open a chart, overlay whatever study you are interested in, go to file ---> save as html. It will create a png file in the folder you save it. Upload that png and follow the steps given by Traderji.
