About the User Reputation System

It is surprising to note that most members of this forum are not effectively using the User Reputation System!

The User Reputation System is a great tool for showing your appreciation to a member of this forum by praising or acknowledging their thread or post. As human beings we all respond positively to praise/appreciation in a way that it brings out the very best in us. So if you read a post or thread which you appreciate then please express your appreciation by clicking on the weighing scale next to the post number. Please remember to do this for every good post or thread you read every day. As Ralph Marston once said: If you truly appreciate a good thing you'll get more of it!

Alternatively the User Reputation System can also be used to criticize a member. If you feel that a member has made a post or started a thread against the spirit of the forum then please feel free to criticize him/her using the "User Reputation System".

Since the User Reputation System does not reveal the identity of the member rating a thread or post I think it is a great tool to control the quality of a posts or threads in the forum. With the User Reputation System, members can collectively work together to enhance/improve all discussions made in this forum. Please note that members cannot see who left the ratings on their posts/threads.

You can view a members reputation on the upper right hand side (under number of posts) of every post he/she makes!

Reputation levels
User is infamous around these parts: -999999
User can only hope to improve: -50
User has a little shameless behaviour in the past: -10
User is an unknown quantity at this point: 0
User is on a distinguished road: 10
User will become famous soon enough: 50
User has a spectacular aura about: 150
User is a jewel in the rough: 250
User is just really nice: 350
User is a glorious beacon of light: 450
User is a name known to all: 550
User is a splendid one to behold: 650
User has much to be proud of: 1000
User has a brilliant future: 1500
User has a reputation beyond repute: 2000

If you feel that a member's post/thread has violated the Forum Rules then you can immediately bring it to my notice by clicking on the "Report Post" icon (visible on the upper right hand side of the members post) for my necessary action.

Sir,
Its a good tool overlooked by most of us here. Thanks for pointing it out. However when this is used there is a message pop up that says something like this : Thanks for adding Reputation to this user , may you be lucky enough toget the same reputation.
So far so good, but well Traderji, the same message appears even when you 'critisize' some one!!!!!!

No the same message does not appear when you critisize any other member. Moreover members cannot See Who Left the User Ratings so do not fear!

catually u misunderstood me,,,it was actualy in reply to traderji ,with whom i discussed some problems of forum,,these issue of ,,,overreacting to each other ,,overpowering,,,,commneting ,,,so my views was jsut on that,,,it is better to post all criticism here...,,instaed of spoiling teh threads..and ,, topics..

the comment was just for that view.
