Does this thanks or reputation make any sense ???? what is the use for getting upset or happy with this reputation ? believe me no one looks at the reputation of a member before reading their posts, at the most they look at the joining date of the member, atleast I do that...

but I will say the thanks option is wonderful, why, cause lots of times we just get answers from someone which as a courtesy we have to reply to that post & others that replied to my post or maybe if i agree with some post, the best way is to press thanks rather than blah blah yes you are right..... now this thanks saves me to do that & hand in hand the person who replied knows I acknowledged him.... saves time / space / formalities... that is the use of thanks....

so in my views most of you don't realize the actual use of THANKS
fully agree with czar...
it has been a time-saver in real-time trades too; for eg. someone asks: "I am long at 3800. SAR is 3775. Am I right?"
Just hit the "thank" button to indicate he's right. The person, asking the question, will also be relieved when he sees that his doubts have been cleared, and above all, who has cleared his doubts...

When I had joined the forum, such system of Thanks was not there - but it has proven to be useful.
Only problem is that - why it's being added to one's "reputation"...
We have a separate counter for "Thanks made" & "Thanks received"... "Reputation" counter is also available, but previously (and even now too), on hitting "Add to ....'s Appreciation" or "Repute Post", the name of the person who reputed the post would not appear, unless he mentions it at the time of making the comment.

Anyway, czar, i read that even you first look the member's date of joining, maybe to know his experience (atleast, that's my reason) & then forming an opinion of the member over time...

Identify this member:

When he had joined this forum, I was first apprehensive about our initial interactions....
But, the result is in front of all of us - In such a short span of time, HE HAS BECOME A DARLING FOR ALL OF US DUE TO HIS VARIED KNOWLEDGE + SPIRIT, A TRUE TEAM-MEMBER FOR MOST THREADS & UNDOUBTEDLY, A GREAT FUTURE AHEAD WITH HIS CAREER & THIS FORUM....

Most of the members & moderators daily interact with him.
(if i give more clues, it would become more easy)

columbus has a point,
also it will be useful if we add another button along with ' thanks ' .. it wd be anything like ' it helps'.. or something, which may differentiate betwn we merely saying thanks i agree/share your point of view.. and it helps me to refine my ideas...
Anything for Negative? Like "Useless" etc.
(Rate this post first) :D :D :D

sunil .
If its me then i am honored, thanks buddy .. and wishing you the same.May you have a great trading future ahead.
Point must add here is, though czar said he first look at the date of entry,.. he was the one who volunteered first for our interactions, i dont think my joining date in traderji played something in his mind at that time.
