I have powerscan. It works very well for setting up scans for price, volume, or certian indicators. By that I mean you can only use the preset indicators that are built into Amibroker. Which I think is about 30. The hundred or so indicators that are in the AFL library, will still have to be coded by hand, if you are making changes to them or want to cross reference any of them. It does not do patterns, candle sticks or other graphical scans. However, I would still recommend it.

Yes you are right. As far as I know, it can only give a good start for learning and using AFL.
