Amibroker Crashed

Hi friends.

Today i switched of my computer whille it was still doing shut down process.
When i restarted it has crashed and says cant find database.. I have lost some four years intraday data on my PC. Is there a way i can restore it?

I already have backup in my laptop but dont know how to import that data to pc. I am using IBC for intraday data which provides only four months intraday data backup...

it happened me several times, unfortunately I am not able to recover lost data, 'cause in the closing of ami he saved history to zero, so there was no chance to restore, the only thing I can advise you is to make a DATA folder backup every week, if you by any chance just replace the various symbols with closed AmiBroker

You all seem to have lousy RAM but wanna load huge data.

is not a ram problem, because I have abundant and of excellent quality, I think the problem resides or in a problem with the installation or in a compatibility with third-party programs or in some older versions of amibroker

"Abundant" is an imprecise useless word that can have different meanings for different purposes. How many? What is the OS? And is it 32-bit or 64-bit? What AmiBroker version? How many bars to load?

Answer on how to recover greatly depends upon the precise damage and how the backup was actually created (and stored). Recovery from backup will involve either copying files/folders or importing

Unless hard drive is physically damaged, Chances of recovery of 100% AmiBroker database is excellent and most likely will involve recreating ticker indices of AmiBroker. Depending upon how recent your backup was, you may be able to restore a working version from ur laptop and roll forward for bars that were added since the backup.

Just copy the backup data folder from your laptop and paste it in the Amibroker folder in Program Files. On restarting Amibroker, go to Open Database and select the new folder.
