hi all,
in the unlikely event of carrying out any modification to the StockIndustry.csv file, you must run the program again. but, in case of any modification, please remember that the file SHOULD NOT contain any BLANK ROWS. the program halts abruptly if any blank rows are there in the StockIndustry.csv file. all the best. murthymsr

Regret to mention that a small error had crept in our industry allocation.  NIPPOBATRY – Presently allocated to Industry – Breweries and Distillers under Consumer Goods Sector. Please change the allocation to Sector – Diversified, Industry – Others. Warm regards karthik

hi all,
splits / bonus are one of the important reasons affecting the database purity and are to be adjusted. the procedure has been outlined in one of the earlier posts. Amibroker calculates the split ratio rounded to the integer, but in some cases the ratio is not a round figure. to overcome the difficulties, the stocks whose FV has been split / and for which bonus shares are issued are compiled from NSe web site and converted to a split ratio which can be directly entered into Amibroker. the split data from 1 jan 2006 is attached. you may change the TXT extention to CSV and use it. murthymsr

Stock / Industry Allocation for new listing - NSE. Company: Hanung Toys and Textiles Ltd Symbol : HANUNG Line of Business: Home furnishings fabrics and soft toys. Sector : Textiles Industry : Others The sector allocated could be disputable as the company is also into soft toys. But the company is now concentrating on the home furnishing and the purpose of the IPO is to increase the Furnishing capacity to five times from the current capacity of 20000 fabric meter per day. So I have allocated to the textile sector . regards Karthik

except stocks of Finance companies This can be used only in versions abv 4.80. Last edited by tanewbie; 2nd August 2008 at 12:18 PM.

More on our Sector ad Industry Allocation. Right now KCP is allocated to Sector-Agro, Industry - Sugar. Since KCP Ltd has many diversified activities it seems appropriate to move it to Sector- Diversified and Industry-Other. This is based on members feedback and opinion. regards Karthik
