Installed new monitor and Amibroker went bust

#1
I recently purchased an LG monitor to use with my laptop. I installed the software that came with it so that I could use laptop and monitor as dual screen. The day after this when I opened my Ami, all the charts had reset to default and were showing DJI charts like it shows when we install Ami for the first time.
All my data is still intact but the price indicator and settings for chart color etc have disappeared. Some of the text boxes in which I typed stuff are still intact. All the tabs as well as sheets are still there. If any one has had this happen to them, pls let me know how you addressed it. I'm quite depressed at this.....

Below are some screenshots...

Ami no longer seems to ask me if I want to save anything on exiting. Seems to have restored to default settings but why are the chart markings still there if it has in fact gone back to default settings?

:(

Chk which data base selected"data" Tools>Prefrences. Select ur folder of data.

Hello,

Try to restore the system at previous date from.....

start>Accessories>system tool>system restore. and follow the on screen instructions, then select a previous date at which ur Amibroker worked fine.

this may help u to restore ur previous settings.... if u failed ...then there r very slim chances to restore original.

this has nothing to do with monitor installation.

Regards,

You must have created a new database by mistake and saved it as default database. Just go Amibroker - filemenu- and click on ' open database ' and browse to your original database where all your data is saved and click 'OK' that should solve your problem.

As of this problem many good suggestions have already come by experienced traderji members.

In future I would suggest you to save your templates so if any problem occurs then you can reapply the templates. This will save lot of time for you.

My guess is that you've reinstalled Ami over the old one. (OR If you had a pirated copy, you've deleted the license file).
Simply go to Preferences-Data and set the Default Database Path correctly !!!
