Ami technicality Question

#1
Hello friends,

I am here with a very common but serious question. In amibroker we have 8 sheets by default when we install it. We always have a price chart in Sheet 1 & when we keep the cursur on any candle, a tooltip appears with all the data & values of open, High, Low, Close, bolinger bands, ma etc etc. whatever indicators are there on the chart.

But when we close the price chart ( Or by mistake we have closed it ) & when we again put the price chart, the tool tip shows ONLY close of the candle & that is all. Finish. No other data is available in the tool tip.

So how to make it with full tool tip again ? Any suggestions or help ?

Thanks & Regards

It depends on what price chart you open. See Price (all in one) in folder Basic Charts as example.

Hi Trash,

Thanks for replying. I have tried both but even price ( All in one ) also does not have the tool tip which we have originally when we install the Amibroker. Price ( All in one ) also have other indicator's value with ONLY close price and not the Open, High, Low & Close.

What version are you running? I'm running 5.5 and when hovering over a candle and using 'price - all in one' then a tooltip window appears showing all values.

Hi trash,

I'm using Amibroker Version 5.3. I guess it is not related to version difference. Moreover I face this problem only after I close the original chart and when I put it back, it shows only the close price.

Thanks & regards

Hi trash,

I'm using Amibroker Version 5.3. I guess it is not related to version difference.
It is related. Tooltip has been changed so upgrade to 5.50.

Otherwise for 5.3 use this all in one version

Code:
_SECTION_BEGIN("Price");
SetChartOptions(0,chartShowArrows|chartShowDates);
_N(Title = StrFormat("{{NAME}} - {{INTERVAL}} {{DATE}} Open %g, Hi %g, Lo %g, Close %g (%.1f%%) Vol " +WriteVal( V, 1.0 ) +" {{VALUES}}", O, H, L, C, SelectedValue( ROC( C, 1 )) ));
Plot( O, "O", colorBlack, styleNoTitle | styleHidden );
Plot( H, "H", colorBlack, styleNoTitle | styleHidden );
Plot( L, "L", colorBlack, styleNoTitle | styleHidden );
Plot( C, "C", ParamColor("Color", colorBlack ), styleNoTitle | ParamStyle("Style") | GetPriceStyle() );
if( ParamToggle("Tooltip shows", "All Values|Only Prices" ) )
{
 ToolTip=StrFormat("Open: %g\nHigh:  %g\nLow:   %g\nClose:  %g (%.1f%%)\nVolume: "+NumToStr( V, 1 ), O, H, L, C, SelectedValue( ROC( C, 1 )));
}

Hi Trash,

Thank you very much for replying. Your afl worked very well. It serves the purpose perfectly. Now I can get O,H,L,C & indicator values perfectly.

Thanks once again for all your help & guidence.

Thanks & Regards
