profit-table quesiton

#1
Question about the profit-table provided in the backtest report.

Because if testing for one year, say 2011, you can see the monthly gains/losses in % very easily.
However, if testing over 2010-2011, the monthly results for 2011 change?

Why is that. Because then it doesn't show the real performance done in 2011.
Anybody who has a explaining or a fix for this when testing multiple years?

Hi Birdseye..... View it like this ..... Let's say in 2011 you made 10 bucks on 100, therefore your returns for 2011 would be 10%
Now if you have lost 5 bucks in 2010 on 100 therefore you would see the net profit of only 5% if you calculated nett returns for 2 years together....

Thanks a lot SG for your quick reponse!
Your answer sounds logical. Still, somehow I would've prefered it to be independed over the previous years, because the way I setup a system.
But it's still a valuable report.
