Hi All,

My friend has recently bought version 4.0 of stock maniacs.
It is all bullshit!

He went all out with enthusiasm with the system and endedup in losses.

If you back test the system, u will end up in losses all the time. When this question was posed to them, they said, it will not work for rangebound market.
But unfortunately always we get mixed rangebound and trending days
never it is simple range bound nor trending.

instead as already suggested in this forum, i tried to trade in 315 cross over as mentioned in other links. and combined with stochastics, and RSI and MACD and devised i started going long or short based on 315 crossover and exit at stochastics cross over and I see RSI also if exitingon selling( considering <50% as appropriate.)

With this i am able to make better trade.
Tstochmaniacs have introduced anotther trend filter for hourly time frame it appears it is also eyewash.
My advise for all is not not to pay for any system and develop ur own with available free systems and enjoy after back testing the system designed by you.

even simple 315 combined with stochastics cross over will give very good benefits if followed strictly

whipsaws are inevitable and try to reduce them by using filters

with all respect to nallan's friend, i am using their systems for last 1 year and am quite satisfied with their timely updates. i am much benefited from the trend filters. it did not seem to be an eyewash to me. it really works well to differentiate between sideways and trending market. may be nallan's friend cud not understand the usage properly, but those maniacs people have conducted a nice training session for me. rgds

I would like to have this stockmaniac 4.0 can you pls send it to nl100 at rediffmail
No AFL will work for all situations because if you watch closely you will notice two things 1) gap up and gap down everyday in the beginning of market hours, and this distorts the calculations of EMA.MA etc. Gap up and Gap down cannot be predicted by a trading system as it depends entirely on world markets 2) sudden raise and sudden falls due to some news, these are similar to gap up and gap down
These force us to have judgement on top of trading system recommendations.
Sellers of trading systems make tall claims and show us only those charts that have clicked. If this stockmaniac fellow had developed a perfect system he would have become a billionaire by now.
Anyways, please do share latest version. Let us see.
