How to delete data from amibroker

Today Bhavcopy download was not working so I downloaded data from different site and imported to amibroker.Later I found that it was not in proper sequence i.e. open high low close.Now I want to delete that data of 1/11/2010.How to do this?

Hi sanjay,

Use Quote editor to delete the data. Click on 'Symbol' from main Menu bar and select Quote Edtor. In quote editor window in left hand top corner select "All Symbols/Single quote" (The default is 'Current Symbol/all quotes'). Now all symbols with latest date quotes will appear in right hand side table. Select all of them by clicking on the topmost quote and then move to bottom most quote and Shift-Click. When all are selected click "Delete" button in the left side bottom. All the quotes will be deleted for the last day.

shift-click means? just a beat elaborate ,select top most and bottom most and then press shift key isn't it?

Hi Kaly,

This is what I explained:

1. First click left mouse key on the first row and that row will be highlighted.
2. Then go to the last row, press shift key and left mouse key together. All the rows will be highlighted.
3. Now press 'Delete' ket and delete all the highlighted rows.

Open any chart, click on the date on which you want to delete the data, ensure that the vertical selection line is on the date to be deleted.

Next Step: Edit, Delete Session.

It will ask to confirm : "Really want to delete selected quote from ALL symbols ?"

Click "Yes" and that day's quote will be deleted in one go for all symbols.

this technic also usefull when import historical data also thanx very much

will it delete all the scrips of that date?
now if i want a perticular scrip to be deleted ,what to do?

That step explained was to delete only single day's quote from all symbols in one go.


For deleting a particular scrip permanently, select the particular scrip in the left pane, symbols page, right click, delete.

It will warn you that it cannot be undone. Confirm, and that scrip is gone from database, and all watchlists if added.

I am using metastock datas for importing to amibroker.
But i can not delete a one day data inside symbol.
Imported metastock data can not be deleted by this way?
