Amibroker has become very slow

Somebody pls tell me how can i make Amibroker to run faster.... i have a P4 comp with 1 GB ram.... earlier my Amibroker was very fast.... but now after few months its become very slow .... is it becoz of afls or database... ?
Anybody .....pls guide me....

Check UR DB settings.

sir basically its depend on ur database, altered ur database with convert afl, i feel u using tick database, some time we get prob with afl also when we use market profile afl nifty46

It is normal to slow down as the no of records in the database increase. If possible, you may try creating two databases. One database with all the recent data(say past 3 years) and other with old historical data. When you doing routine analysis, you can use the smaller database, and when you are doing some task that needs thousands of records, say backtesting, you can use the other database.

Other than that there may be routine PC issues. Try disk defragging, free up some disk space, etc.

Thanks pkgmtnl ji, nifty46 ji and bunny ji.... for all ur prompt replies... i removed all unwanted afls from the custom folder..... defraged my disk removed unwanted temp /junk files... now my ami is breathing ok.... thanks to Shiree ji for his sugestion in other forum too....
