"If you want to have long daily histories AND intraday charts you should consider running TWO instances of AmiBroker. One for EOD charts and second for intraday charting. Both may use the same real-time data source."

taken from amibroker website

dont quite understand how to run TWO instances of Amibroker
want to use quotetracker for RT data and EOD data

Start AmiBroker and use EOD Database to get EOD charts. Without closing AmiBroker, start it again (By clicking its Shortcut) and set it for Intraday with intraday database. This is running two instances of same program.

Some programs can be run simultaneously more than once and do different jobs in each. This is running multiple instances of same program. For example, You can run Internet explorer multiple instances at the same time. In one you may check mail, in another you may vist Traderji pages, in yet another you may search google for something. All these run simultaneously. Some programs do not allow multiple instances. Whenever you start such programs, they check whether it is aready running. If it is so, they will not run another instance but present you the currently running instance itself.

I hope it is clear.
