Hi All:
I have tried using stochastics, macd, ema, and RSI to get a good buy and sell signal in Amibroker on ^GSPC, which is Yahoo's S&P 500. The best I can do on closing prices after backtesting is about 5.6% annual return. With open, high, low, and average prices, I can do a lot better, but I want to work with something that does well on closing prices. Has anyone had any luck finding a better return than that? A mutual fund can do better than that. If anyone has found a better indicator, what functions or methodology are you using?
Thanks,
Rob
