reducing database size in amibroker

i maintain both intraday and eod database as seperate
at present my intraday database is 1.3 gb in size it contains data from augest 2007 upto today
is there any easyway:mad: i can delete 2007 and upto jun-2008 datas so that size reduces
and speed increases
now days it hangs some times and i am smelling trouble :annoyed:

Simple, use Quote Editor to select a range of data (press & hold the Shift key to select a range... in your case a very very wide range.. ) & press the delete button in quote editor..

You can find the Quote Editor in File Menu > Symbol >Quote Editor.

as is it intraday day tick data it is very slow and i have to go symbol by symbol too any way i was not left with much choice too ,so started deleting

Dear Dhana,

You may take a backup of this intra-day database and start afresh in a new database. This way your ram is not loaded in the regular run. However for any research, you may load the old database temporarily.

This may be done on a regular basis for every few months.

Hope this addresses both of your concerns.

now i got plan from ur idea i used to update data via csv file
i decided to carry with this database for one more month and use it
meanwhile i create new database and update it also for one month there by maintaining 2 database for time being for one month
after one month i will switch too new one and keep old one as back up
any way thank u man

plz let me know if u can share the intraday tick data for the last 1 year or so?? This wud help me in back-testing various ideas/system.

and also suggest me a good site to get accurate (?) intraday RT data for NSE Cash market scrips...which one do u use??

Press SHIFT & END key instead of Press and Hold SHIFT key :)
