Anyone have any method to back up all the setting for amibroker. There are times when system crash and have to format pc and all the setting have lost. Anyway, I can back up the amibroker setting, i.e chart setting, formula etc so that i dont' have to redo everything again when i reinstall the program.
Thanks |

Hello George
The easiest way to back up your AB is to just zip the entire Amibroker folder at your programe file .You can reload the same at the new set up whenever you want with all your setups intact. This is a unique feature of Amibroker. Sunando |

Sunbim has given the answer which is space saving.
However I went thru the same ordeal in case of system crash and restoration which you did. So I copied the entire amibroker sub-dir (after making new indicators and afls) from C:\Program files\amibroker to my pen drive as well as on another drive which did not require formatting. and after system restoration and fresh installation of amibroker I overwrote the entire C:\Program files\amibroker sub-dir from the one which i had on my pendrive. Infact every month end i do the same so that all changes afls, indicators etc are copied to the backup drive. In fact taking the clue from sunbim one can even save the zip file in an email address as an attachment. Thanks bam |
