well, your question is not clear ....do you mean by using amibroker and afl ....or do you mean that in general did any one make money at all.

if it is by using amibroker ...first know what it is...you will get answer much better than any one who explain it to you.

if you are in stock market ...surely either you make money or lose money...

market movement depends on manythings ...so once you understand all those things ...you too will make profit ...

did i answer your question ..if not, you write again.

regards
suba

Thanks for reading.

In fact I could not write my thoughts very clearly as with what combination one can use/define strategy to make money. As if one is having knoledge , unless it is practiced & perfected we can not say its usefulness.

Thanks omkarmango & suba

Amibroker is a charting software with excellent facilities for exploration, backtesting, etc., It is a great software, and, excellent tool at that. It is not a trading system, and, hence making or losing money is irrelevent to the software.

Amibroker & AFL is a tool and trading is an art. They are two different aspects. In the share market making money is therefore an art. You can have the best bow and arrow in the world but that does not make you the best champion archer. I am yet to come across a subject that reads "who lost money using discipline and determination"

Any charting s/w is on our beck & call dependent on our commands. Some one may have found a particular formula usefull so he made an AFL & posted.Like in case of MACD , RSI etc some body found it usefull.
Hence all these has given some monetary gain at some point of time
to these peoples but do that nessacarily mean we are also going to make money.
In the same cricket pitch 2 batsman faces the same opponent bowler almost at the same over or next. Now every thing being same for 2 batsman ,suppose both of them reverse sweep, they do not get the same result, even if the bowler bowls ,say 2 identical delivery to both those 2 batsman the result is not always same.
Hence if somebody says he has experimented or made money is it going to help us much, becoz we will have to walk to that crease & produce result which will again depend on our technique ,footwork, grip, reading of the line lenght etc .
So we will have to use our own personal understanding & judgement of that Match situation.
