Hi All,
I am an Amibroker fan ! Have been using the software for quite some time now. I can help some of the newbies to Amibroker here. Lot of help and threads for AFLs are available, so we will keep AFls out, however any help to improve Amibroker usage will be given as far as possible. I am sure other proficient members can also chip in to help and guide. This is a very good and must know software for all. So go ahead shoot your questions. ![]() Last edited by Technical Trader; 27th July 2007 at 02:57 PM. |

I plan to use Amiquote to upload the EOD quotes into Amibroker... For some reason, it does not take BSE Codes..
Can you help me with a step by step guide to set it up ? |

It takes all tickers provided by *****. Please make sure you are using the correct Ticker code. Check the ticker code at in.finance.********** . A step by step guide to Amiquote with pictorial references is available in Amibroker itself. Its very vast to explain here. Just go to Amibroker > Help >> Search >> and type Amiquote. Click on the first option. Let me know if you get stuck. All the best. ![]() |

Dear Technical Trader
Hi. When ever I buy (or sell) shares, I like to mark the "Bought" (& Sold) on individual charts & to get the profit or loss till date in the interpretation window. I am unable to do so. Please help me. Thanks. |

You cant write in the interpretation like that. Its a different issue altogether. Read about it in the help. There is one option though -- you can use the notepad of Amibroker. You can open it from View >> Notepad. You can also start it using Alt-V>>N. Nail it to the border. Open it whenever you want to jot down trades / profit - loss or any other points to remember. This will also give you picture of your entire trading history. This will be a better option, I think. Cheers !! ![]() |
