Data is available free from many places. The NSE site itself, many ***** groups - like bse_nse, many places in traderji itself & many cheap providers also, depending on exactly what kind of data you are looking for.

Most formats work with Amibroker - ASCII & Metastock.

Here is a link of how you can import data to Amibroker. It has been explained very nicely here in pictorial format. The only thing which you may have to change is the format, depending upon whether your data is in YMD or DMY formats or the sequence is different.

Take a look, its very simple. Come back here, if you face a problem.

Dear BAV,

The best i can think of is this :-

You place the 2 'y' values in an array and feed the array to the Plot function.

Like, y[0] = lastvalue(H) & y[1] = y[0] + 20 (or y[1] = 1.2 * y[0] if you want 20%]
Now, Plot(y).

I am not able to try this out as i'm currently at a different location & do not have Ami on my machine.

Regards,
Kalyan.

The link which you'd referred for importing data is good. I'll add this to the thread "Amibroker: Links, Articles, discussions & more".

A simple question, but couldn't find a solution.

LineArray might help to some extend. But vertical line from H to H+20 wasn't possible with that. It requires atleast one bar difference between x1 and x2.
So strictly speaking, it wont provide a vertical line.

Another thing that might work for BAV :-

PlotOHLC(H, H+20, H, H+20,,, styleLine)

However this might erase the original(actual) OHLC, in which case a second (following the 1st one) PlotOHLC(O, H, L, C) can be tried.

Kalyan.

Problem is Ami doesn't have a generic DRAW function. So only 'workarounds' can be tried.

Also i suspect the built-in data arrays that are normally used in PLOT are actually (internally) 2-dimensional arrays in the form (BarIndex, ArrayValue) However i don't know if user-defined 2-D arrays can be used in Ami (probably not).

Regards,
Kalyan.
