Default Amibroker and Esignal

I just started Amibroker not long ago and looking at its speed of execution is simply amazing. But thats where it stops. I am using esignal as data feed and frequently using the RMO exploration.

Every now and then, I have to remind myself to forcefeed the data because I really have no idea whether the last bar is up to date.

Wonder when they can become a good match and behave properly!

Any ideas from you guys how to ensure that the real time esignal feed is "trustworthy" when doing the exploration?

If with metastock, my advice is please please do more research before you put good money into it. All Equis care is their Quotecenter. I bought the recent MS10.1 Esignal can return within 30 days/ Support is literally zero and with its limitations.... simply not worth the money. Please google it and read the forums of MS n Esignal before you buy it. I am seriously disappointed with it.

international exchange feed is usd30 and esignal data manager is another usd35.

Another problem with eSignal & Metastock: MS will not accept symbols more than 14 characters in length (e.g., IVRCLINFRA M7-NSF). So you can not get data for any symbol longer than 14 characters. No such limitations in Amibroker.

Thanks a million, pal.

For the folks who are using esignal as the feed and using the RMO as an exploration, I wonder you guys face the same problem as me, this is quite specific to the RMO exploration: The 15 min and below exploration are not working. I thought it was the data being insufficient but I tested up to 8 or more other explorations in the formula folder and they worked fine for the 15 min! Furthermore, when I open up the charts, the 15 min chart display works like a puppy. I have attached the RMO exploration written by our expert here Mr Sudhir Gupta.

For the 30 min and above, I don't face any problem at all.

Just a note for those who are interested in the Metastock Realtime, my friend who is using the Quotecenter version was just telling me it is no better than esignal. Lagging is a common issue.

I am using ADSL 1.5 mb which is quite decent. Strange enough it works fine with other RT softwares but with AB, there is troubling issue of updating in a timely manner.

I understand there is a esignal folder that holds the cache of the data but it does not seem to update dutifully because sometimes when I restart AB(assuming the market has closed), it still has to backfill when I do the explorations. Sometimes, it works just fine.

In order to make sure that the data is updated n backfilled properly, I will set to 1 min exploration whatever afl I picked and run it before the market starts every morning.
