To watch eod & intraday setup in same Amubroker version.

Dear all.
I am not sure whether i can watch eod & intraday setup in a same version.I am having amibroker 5.6 version & presently i am using it for intraday trading only.I want to watch EOD prices also on daily time frame.I dont know how to set my database for that. For eod i am trying to extract data from nse eod data down loader.For intraday i am using data feed from tick by tick.Experts pl. help.

YOU CAB HAVE SEPARATE DATABASES FOR INTRADAY AND EOD IN SAME VERSION OF AB.

FOR CREATING NEW DB : FILE-NEW-DB

GIVE THE DB NAME. IF THIS DB IS NOT REQUIRED AT STARTUP;
UNCHECK THE CHECKBOX RUN THIS DB AT STARTUP,

BASE TIME INTERVAL: END OF DAY : CLICK ON CREATE.

THEN IMPORT EOD ASCII FILES IN THE DB

READY MADE FILES IN MY SIGNATURE(mcx, nse cd : If required)

I have same database for the combination of EOD and IEOD data. EOD upto 31.12.15 and IEOD from Jan 16 till date. And I can see charts of 1 minutes (of scrips for which I have IEOD data) to monthly time frames.

I have IEOD data as
ticker, date, time, open, high, low, close, volume
and
EOD data as
ticker, date, open, high, low, close, volume

You have to do some settings, as
File > Database setting > intraday setting > allow mixed EOD/intraday data (check this box)
click OK

i am using mcx bhavcopy for eod data (No other software can download it as per my knowledge because of advance scripting language) for nse cd eod i am
using data NSE EOD Data Downloader v3.2 by rohit jhunjhunwala ji,
each day i modifies manually symbol names like usdinr-iiiii->usdinr-v

it is very cumbersome process as all i do is manually.

same for mcx bavcopy and eod data.

we cannot interchange eod-intraday data.

but if database is of intraday, we can view eod (daily) quotes of that symbol.
if data is eod, it is impossible to view intraday data of that symbol.

Can you pl. give me proper link of NSE EOD Data Downloader v3.2?Because the link i got i cant execute .exe file after extracting it in a separate folder.

make sure java installed on your pc.
to check : open cmd and type
java -version

if not, download java
after install
run the executable jar file, NSE EOD Data Downloader v3.2.jar

1.Can I use same eod data base for intraday also(presently I have Nest2Ami data base).
2.If Ihave to creat New DB how can I use ealier DB( nest2ami) if I need
3.Because I will be using 'My quote' for intraday data feed,I am doubtful that it will be in synch with yahoo and yahoo is also giving delayed by 1min.
4.How to create multiple data bases in AMi is it possible to use them turn by turn ?

no , you have only one intraday database, which have real feed,
(if the feed db path changed, then u can have multi intra db also, the db path should changed before change of intra db)
but can have multiple databases in same ab version,
for intraday database you can view/analyze the daily quotes, by selecting interval= daily.
you can use use eod database for intraday feed(while feeding intraday quotes,
change database - but the same intraday symbol appear in eod db(changed).

you can create multiple db , by file-new-database
load at startup uncheck if u don't want that db to run at start.
select base interval(eod) and click create.
then import eod ascii data into that db.

you can use one db at 1 time
if second db required then click file-recent dbs... to open II db
---
if you have copy of db placed in ab dir but not listed in recent db,
then file-open db... and direct the db path.
(you have to backup whole db in zip file before creating/modifying the db... that will safe decision in many situations)

My NSE DATA downloader has stopped working ,its not down loading since 9.5.16,it worked excellently for couple of weeks ,it simply says error while downloading,can any one help ?
