Putting it all together (AFL/TWS API)

Hello,
I'm trying to get some clarity on simultaneous multi-symbol trades on Amibroker. I have some triggers i'm trying to test, seems to work fine on backtesting. When I try the simulated paper trades using Interactive Brokers TWS API, it only trades the symbol thats currently on the chart. My question is:

1. Will I have to open a chart for every symbol I want to trade?
2. Can someone please direct me to a sample code that crunches trades from a watchlist? If this is even possible?
