Friends,

I am a retail and small trader using NEST for my trading. I found using super trend we can getgood returns. But because of emotions my account leading to losses.
I am assuming that if I can fully automate this strategy can get good profits, but I don't know much about fully automatic trading rules, prerequisites, procedure etc for a retail trader .
Please guide me. Also please let me know the cheap and best auto trade providers.

Thanks,
Mullangi

Various option for you.

1. You need amibroker which can run supertrend signal.
2. Paid robo applications. This will auotmate your trading. This will read your signal in amibroker and place in your terminal. (Venders : RCRT robo, vbiz, robotrader etc). Vendor sell this apps. with monthly subscription. You also need to live data feed.

For detail information you would find Algo and automated trading thread in this forum where various users has described information about automated trading and data feeds.

My suggestion is that it's important to learn regulating your emotions because it helps in the long run.

To regulate your emotions you must develop some strategies like double verification or writing your thoughts somewhere before taking a trade or just deep breathing exercise for 2 minutes.

Automating is a completely different field.

I would recommend you to learn about basics of programming. The future of trading is in algorithms and it would be hard to trade with out the knowledge of programming. Currently in india algo trading is a costlier method of trading. Can you afford amibroker it cost about 26000rs and one of the cheapest method of algo trading? if yes then learn programming in amibroker. Believe me amibroker afl programming is one of the simplest programming language? Any way this is a link to supertrend afl http://www.marketcalls.in/amibroker/supertrend-v4-0-amibroker-afl-code.html

Hi,
If you want to do robo trade, do back test your strategy and conclude a SL and Tar value to get a better result with minimum loss. Apply the SL and Tar values in robo and do back test in paper trade mode. Then after if u satisfied go for algo trading with your terminal.

Mullangi,

First of all, write down your strategy, risk and money management rules.

Back test your strategy.

Mark the trades where stopped out.

Study and analyze the stopped out trades in reference to Higher TF... E.g An buy signal in lower TF of 5M using SuperTrend while the 30 or 60M TF is a sell needs to be looked at closely. These will result in unnecessary trades and can be filtered out....

Revise your entry/exit rules again.

Back test.

Only once the above is done, and you are satisfied with the results will you be ready for automating.... No point in booking the honeymoon package before the bride is selected and the wedding fixed....:lol::lol:

My 2C....
