Asian paints down 3% today :D
Some gut feeling yest, was weak on the charts.

Trying to trade nines on paper :)
Trading nines is not that objective, strength may continue, reversal if any may be feeble.
However a nine in close vicinity of TDST line along with Perl's criteria can be profitable.

1. TDST lines work well on all time frames including 1min, however sequential works with great accuracy on daily.
2. & 3. TDST (and setups) are based on closing prices, don't repaint after candle close or EOD.
4. They have substantial edge on EOD daily charts, however the bias generated can be used intraday i.e. in direction of dominant trend. For e.g. say a script on daily chart has just broke a TDST buy (blue line) after a completed buy sequential, trend up is likely to continue, so in intraday also we trade with long bias, as they are more likely to succeed.

1. There are 2 afls .. 1st and 2nd page of this thread . which to use?

2. I am asking for TDST .. because

a. read in an interview ... Tom demark was Vice president for Tudor Hedge fund for short time.

b. Physically analyzing .. marking S/R levels on 10-15 scripts daily.. That too on 1 Min TF .. and then monitoring / checking again n again,,,. is a little tiresome .... earlier I traded 2-3 Scripts .it was ok ...... but then they started ranging for longer time .. getting whipsawed ... So for 15 Scripts its tiresome..

c. what I am seeing is . on 1 min ..if Price > TDSTb and TDSTs then its trending ..
IF in between them .. then ranging .. AM I CORRECT ??

3. Can it be used In scalping ... if levels are not repainting ? is it recommended ?

Both AFLs are same, the repetition is because of shifting of certain posts from general thread to this thread after it was started.
Yes,If the price is between the tdst lines, its range bound, till it breaks either way. your interpretation is right.
I have not used them for scalping, you can back test.

Vivekji waiting for your CoalIndia chart today.... I have started studying this thread but looks like lot of studying is required to get hold of this strategy.

Almost all the stock today were in red but looks like CoalIndia survived :)
