Yes it is tradable as new sell setup can start now and trade can be exited at completion of sell setup with stop loss below resistance closing basis
Sell set up continues till we get a flip in opposite direction.Set up requires minimum 9 bars in which close > close 4 bars back. But the set up does not end on 9th bar...it can continue till 11/12 or any number of bars till it gives a flip. This is important for calculating distance travelled in set up if there are multiple set ups and we have to decide which set up is active for count down to progress.

If the intersection takes place on 8th or 9th bar, the count down is started from 9th set up bar meaing 9th set up bar can be first countdown bar if it satisfies the countdown conditions."

thanks

Nice thread Vivektrader. Good discussions. Now we dont have to track scrips for TD sequential as basic buy/sell set up is there for all nifty 50 scripts. That work is done

Heres one example. Applied to nifty50
https://in.tradingview.com/x/UqrlVwEs/

Steps to do.
1. Use this script.
https://www.tradingview.com/script/nUtNecpf-TD-Sequential/

2. Apply this code on any scripts provided by tradingview.com.

1. should we sign up for an account with trading view?

2. after opening a particular chart in trading view where do we add this code?

thank

Also in the last buy setup(26-12-16) the true high of first bar is around 8230. This should ve acted as resistance we have broken. And yesterday we closed around there. So will that be our support now? for the next long?

As per this chart https://www.tradingview.com/x/Kju3l9zF/

There is no intersection on 8th or 9th bar ,so countdown has to wait till we get intersection.

Intersection is important part of sequential. It ensures that the brakes are applied to the price activity and avoids selling in strong running markets.

Took liberty to answer with ST Sir advised to rest more & bcos its a reiteration :D

I'm using same chart to emphasize on topic.
If bars 8 and 9 are weak, then there's possibility of misleading. Therefore, TD requires the lows (not close) to atleast get below Bar 7 to indicate bearishness.

Also, countdown begins only after intersection, if 8/9 do it, then CD1 starts with bar 9. Also, TD buy/sell setup may have more than 9 bars.

If you see, you are getting higher lows (& highs) instead, (no bearish signs) so if you'd have shorted around bar 9, then SL would've hit.
