We can trade on the last two stocks as they had the largest volume. I will trade it this way by using a naive approach. Please suggest if we can make better entries and exits.

One better approach would be not to take the first long as the previous day high was very close and one could long once PDH was broken.

Ok i did not know this criteria of choosing the one with highest volume activity.
By the way have you really traded BAJAJ-Holding in realtime in cash market. The charts-volume does not appear to be liquid enough..:confused:
I will worry about the order filling and sudden spikes

No, I didn't trade it. Looks like this strategy of 50 day SMA with 5 SMA is not good. 30 day volume SMA with current SMA looks ok.

Is there any quick/easy way to look for the change in price in selective stocks that I mentioned?

May be we need to apply some additional filter after stocks are being filtered through volume. The 2nd level filter could be some Price action filter,

Ok let me try to understand it..

Only those stocks are being filtered where on daily chart -

5 SMA (volume) [Current Day] > 30 SMA (Volume) [Prev Day]

Am I right ?

Sorry for the confusion.

I was using 2 strategies for volume spikes.
1. Average volume of the last 50 days comparison with Average volume of last 5 days. But, it doesn't look good.

2. Average volume of last 30 days comparison with volume of current day at the end. - This one gave us Bajaj Holding and other stocks also had a good movement.

We will see if this works otherwise we will move on to other methods for finding trending stocks.

Few things that are in mind.

1. We can use the following link at 10:00 and then trade on the top 2 stocks.
https://www1.nseindia.com/live_market/dynaContent/live_analysis/most_active_securities.htm

2. We can look at the index at 10:00. We will find which index has highest gain and then select any one of the top three stocks from that index which has liquidity.
https://www1.nseindia.com/live_market/dynaContent/live_watch/live_index_watch.htm

and, at 10:00, we will find the index which is most negative and select any of the bottom three stocks from that index which has high liquidity.

For, finding the stocks from index, we can use the following link.

Yes, lets test these concepts in live for few days and note down the key points. May be something will strike..

By the way, do you have any exploration code for filtering the stocks by checking volume spike ? Or is it being done manually..
